How to Register for a Loom Educator Account for Free

Getting registered for a Loom Educator Account is relatively easy. It's relatively explicit on the Loom website. Start by going to Loom's education page.

Step 1: Create an Account on Loom

To create an account on Loom, go to the Loom education page and click on the "Try for free" button.

To get free access to Loom, you must create an account with your school email address. The standard email addresses, such as those from Gmail or Outlook, you might have used for your existing account will not work.

After you've entered your email address, a new page will appear where you'll need to create a password. You'll have completed establishing a Loom account after doing so.

You'll need to verify your account via email before gaining access to the free educational content. Make sure you look for this verification email in your School email accounts. If you don't receive it after a few minutes, check the spam folder.

After you've completed the setup, your account will be verified, at which point you'll be able to access the free educational features.

Step 2: Verify Educational Access

You've completed all of the setup stages. Next, return to the educational homepage and select "Verify Education Account." This will direct you to Loom's step-by-step walkthrough.

Click and move through the first few pages as needed. Then, click ‘Yes’ when you reach the page that asks if your school email address is registered on a Loom account.

Click through until prompted to provide educational access using the email address you wish to give it (the one you registered the account with). Then, enter the school email address again and hit ‘OK.’

You'll now be prompted to input the school's name where you work. Fill in ‘[YOUR SCHOOL NAME]' and press ‘OK.’

Next, you’ll need to provide your school's website address. Write and click ‘OK.’

As the following page explains, it will take up to 7 days to upgrade your account to free access.

Finally, click (or press Enter) ‘CONTINUE’ on the last page. Your account will not be upgraded to free access if you don't click 'CONTINUE.'

After submitting your request, Loom will email you confirming that your account has been upgraded to free access within seven days. You can check your account settings to verify that your account has been upgraded.
